    A Unrefined and virgin mean pretty much the same thing. Refined has a higher smoking point for cooking with almost no coconut scent or flavor where has unrefined is minimally processed, has a strong coconut flavor and scent and better For skin and hair care as well as dietary health. I recommend rinsing the coconut oil from your hair, may take a few washes. You can leave some on the ends of your hair for split ends and dry hair. I also love using the unrefined coconut oil as a makeup remover. Leaves skin soft.
    A Mine did not have any grit in it. I have only purchased this brand once, but found the flavor superior to others I've tried. It worked really well for making lip balm too.

    This is an absolutely good quality Coconut oil, it's harden during winter or if it's placed in refrigerator or cool-cold basement....but if you're going to take it internally just use a clean tea or table spoon to scoop and consume or add it to soups, hot cereals, rub in your hand and it melts, add to hair & skin, to melt place the amount needed in a glass bowl and place in very hot tap water or microwave for short period (15-20 seconds) quite easy to liquify
